I admit. I did not read much of this book. I was so excited because I was one of the first at my library to get the book and I was looking forward to a great book.
I read the first chapter and it wasn't too bad but there were questionable parts. I started the second chapter and can you say, "Sex." I thought I can't do it if this is what the rest of the book is like so I got on Amazon and checked out the reviews and sure enough it is FULL of Sex.
I would not recommend this book. It is not my style. I am disappointed. I really wanted her Adult book to be good. I suppose when they called it an Adult book I did have my trepidations and that is why I didn't purchase it and got it from the library first. I am so glad I don't own this book.
How I wish she would have cleaned things up! I am much to young for this book.
A place to record the books I've read. With a short review on each. I strive to never tell too much of the story to ruin it for anyone. BUT, if it is a picture book, I often tell the endings. “Of course anyone who truly loves books buys more of them than he or she can hope to read in one fleeting lifetime. A good book, resting unopened in its slot on a shelf, full of majestic potentiality, is the most comforting sort of intellectual wallpaper.” ― David Quammen

The Wind Blows Backward by Mary Downing Hahn
This book is about a girl who starts to hang out with an old best friend from her younger years. Though she resists she finds she still likes him even though he wouldn't talk to her for many years. Now he seems to want to share something with her. She has to wait for him to share it when he is ready. They become quite close and he does share his secret with her.
I probably wouldn't recommend this book. While this book gives me an idea of another way of thinking different from mine, I think I would have like to have spent my time on a different book. I picked this one up because she was an author at the BYU Symposium on Books for young Readers. I think she handled things well, but I would have rather had a book take a stand to not have sex before marriage. I think she is a great author. She weaves a great story and she writes with interest BUT it just wasn't my kind of book.

Books not to read!!!!!!!
Yuck and YUCK!!!

This book talks of Oral sex in a lot of description. I bought the first book to see if I'd like the series. It starts out innocent enough and then unexpectedly it described a scene of oral sex and without realizing it I had an awful image in my mind. YUCK!!!! I couldn't even give it to DI....I gave it right to the trash.
This book was on display at the library. It looked fun...swords...kings....perhaps castles. Well right from the first it was very sexual. I didn't enjoy it at all. Bluck!!!
Warning, Warning with these books. They are not my kind of book!
